Taking Action is More Important Than Being Innovative (Any Day)
It may surprise you to know, but entrepreneurial success is not always about how innovative you are, but more so about how productive you are - I’ve seen it time and time again. The same concept has applied to my personal journey and to those of the business owners that I mentor as well.
In my work as an entrepreneurship coach, one of the most common problems that I find new entrepreneurs run into is that they have too many ideas (to the point where they are unable to take action on any of them). It’s like they just don’t quite know where to start.
When it comes this idea overwhelm, it all boils down to streamlining and taking action. That action begins with identifying your goals, choosing several to concentrate on, and then outlining the micro-steps that it will take to make them happen. Focus is critical in terms of accomplishment and execution, so pick your most important goals and then move on from there.
To that end, here are some questions to ask yourself in order to get organized and to move those dreams out of your head and into the world:
- What are your top 5 business goals? Be sure to make them SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-based).
- How can you create an action plan (the outline to make it happen)…
