Hi, I’m Charlene Walters and I’m one busy person! I wear many hats and hold a variety of roles. Sometimes, it’s hard for my friends to keep track of all that I have going on, but busy is the way I like it (as long as I still have enough time to spend with my family and friends).

Professionally speaking, I am a business mentor and entrepreneurship coach through my consulting business (www.charlenewalters.com) where I love to work one-on-one with entrepreneurs, businesses and professionals to help them achieve their goals and move forward in business and life. As part of that, I also do some ghostwriting, writing, and contract work for numerous companies and universities and am on the advisory board for the Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CCEI).

I am also a corporate trainer, university professor (at UCONN and the University of Alaska Anchorage) and TV host on Launch with Charlene Walters (D B TV) now streaming on Roku, Amazon Fire and Apple TV. On my show, I interview a variety of guests about all things business and entrepreneurship. It’s great work because I learn a lot on the job, get to meet new people, and have a lot of fun, too. Additionally, I am also involved with a great deal of consulting and curriculum work (for higher education and other types of businesses as well).

How it all began.

I fell in love with entrepreneurship and business by accident. I was an English major undergrad, but obtained positions in sales and marketing followed by another role where I developed and led a Digital Entrepreneurship MBA program. These experiences fueled my passion, and I’ve been hooked on business/entrepreneurship ever since.

Becoming an author.

I published my first book Launch Your Inner Entrepreneur with McGraw Hill. It was a dream come true as I’ve always wanted to become an author (although I became one right in the midst of the pandemic).

Since then, I’ve been touring and getting the word out about my book. I’ve visited over 30 Barnes and Noble store locations to sign copies, have appeared on numerous podcasts, and have spoken at many events- launching and growing entrepreneurs everywhere.
